Things are going fantastic at the lodge, great fishing, fantastic mushroom picking and many other adventures!
The weather finally cooled down a bit at the beginning of August. We got some much-needed rain as well. The wind stayed nice and calm. We have had such a beautiful season this year so far.
The fishing was world class as always, we landed a bunch of Trophy Lake Trout again. We are happy to welcome some new and return people to our Lake Trout Trophy Club:
Tucker (102), Jason (101), Lorenzo (110+108), Fabio (108+108), Marco (105+105+101), Brad (100), Andrea (104+101), Roger (104), Jolan (105), Cecilia (101+100), Marie (103) and Jim (103)! Well done guys!
Fly fishing and ultra light spin casting has been very good too. We fish several beautiful rivers, some of them are only accessible by jet boat. The snow melt is over and water levels are down, offering perfect conditions for Grayling and Rainbow fishing. The first lake trout are starting to enter the rivers too, lots of fun!
Our outpost destination has been hot all season long! We had to leave the cabin for a couple weeks while improvements were done. This includes a new roof. Our guests really enjoy getting out into the wild for a night or two for a pure wilderness experience.
Time is flying by; fall is just around the corner and we are ready to go!
