Week 3-5, 2024

June flew by and it was an amazing, beautiful, fish filled month!

We had a hot beginning of the summer here at the lodge. Temperatures reached +25 on many of the days. We welcomed back many old friends and made many new as well. Fishing was world class; we landed many huge Trout as well as some beautiful Pike.

We have the pleasure of welcoming the following people to our Trophy Club:

Gaudenz 101 Lake Trout, Dave Cryer 101 Lake Trout, Benassy 103 Lake Trout, Bard 101 Lake Trout, Gary 105 Lake Trout and 108 Pike, Rene 106 + 110 Lake Trout, Andy 109 Lake Trout and last but not least Karl-Heinz with a 105 Pike!

On one of the days, we sent a test run into Mush Lake. While there the water levels shifted and created a large hump on the edge of the river. Our truck got stuck on this hump! Although no one was in danger we had to send in a rescue mission to help get the guests home safe. We are hoping that the water levels go down again soon so that we can safely send fishing enthusiast into this breathtaking destination.

Our overnight trips were a huge success as well. On top of catching Trophy fish our guests got to experience the true Yukon wilderness by staying in a cabin with no power or internet and eating dinner cooked over a fire.

Things are running smoothly here at the lodge and we are looking forward to many more fish filled adventures!
