Another beautiful fish filled week has gone by at Dalton Trail Lodge!
There is something special about the beginning of the Summer in the Yukon. Endless day light, spectacular fauna and feisty fish are just the start of it.
This week at the lodge we were able to access all of our destinations. Mush Lake is open, we have yet to go there but as soon as there is interest, we will send guests to this beautiful lake tucked in Kluane National Park.
Long time friends Tim and Dave came for a stay and had another memorable vacation. While here they had many double headers and landed some amazing fish, including a trophy pike (Tim 107 cm). They went on a trip to our outpost cabin and got to experience the midnight sun that the Yukon has to offer in June.
One guest took fishing to the max and chartered a helicopter to get to one of our destinations. What an amazing way to access all that the Yukon has to offer!
The waters are still on the cool side so the fish are in the shallows and are easily catchable be that fly fishing or spin casting. Although it was a bit windy on some occasions, we have many destinations that are protected from the winds and offer great fishing and amazing Yukon experiences none the less.
Some of out guests took advantage of our e-bikes and went for a ride to see the beauty that this territory has to offer.
