2017— Week 31

We had another beautiful week here at the lodge with great fishing. The Lake Trout are super active and we are landing lots of big sized ones.

We have the pleasure of welcoming three new members into our Lake Trout Trophy Club. Alex Barbier caught a beautiful 102cm Trophy. Ferdi Zwahlen caught a nice sized Lake Trout Trophy that was 102cm as well. Heinz got two awesome Trophies that were 105 and 107cm! Great job guys and welcome to our Trophy Club.

The weather was mostly nice with two rainy days and the rest nice and sunny. We had many wind calm days so our guests were able to go out on the house lake on their own where they caught endless amounts of Lake Trout as well as nice sized Grayling.

Pike fishing is slowing down a bit but we still caught many nice ones.

Retention for Salmon is still closed and the river slowed down a bit towards the end of the week.

Rainbow Trout fishing has been awesome with many nice sized fish. We are catching a lot of big Rainbows this year both in the Lake and the River. Water levels are still high and the water is getting warmer from all the nice weather.

Many of our guests took advantage of the weather and went hiking. Our canoe at St. Elias Lake was in big demand this week. Many of our clients enjoyed the one hour hike and used the canoe for exploring or fishing. There are many trail heads into the Park close to our lodge.
