2016— Week 36

What an amazing and beautiful week it has been here at the lodge. Fall is in the air and the leaves are changing color. The mountains and hills have continued to change color. The different shades of Orange, Red and Yellow are even more extreme than last week.

Fishing has been world class. Many of our clients spent their day’s fly fishing at a river nearby and enjoying fresh fish for lunch.

Whitefish and Grayling fishing have been very successful with many fish close to the Trophy Mark.

This week our guests landed many Pike that were close to the Trophy line.

Lake Trout fishing has been very active as well. We had lots of Double even Triple headers this week, meaning that we had two or three fish on at the same time. We even had one where there was a Pike and a Lake Trout at the same time! What an awesome experiences those clients had.

We had many calm days where our guest went out fishing by themselves. It is nice for them to be able to walk to the shore, jump in the boat that is assigned to them and head out fishing for the day. The river is fairly low now and for the time being we are not running it with the jet boat.

Quite a few of our guests went out to our Salmon destination in Alaska and fished for Coho. They were well rewarded and brought back some of their catch to be smoked. Although the air is a bit cooler we have had lots of sunshine and beautiful days. We had an amazing sunny day to finish an awesome week.
