2016— Week 35

The fishing this week was awesome as always. We did experience some colder weather and also some rain but that did not stop our guests from going out and catching fish.

Franz and Christian went out on an overnight trip with guide to one of our bigger lakes and caught many big Lake Trout that were very close to Trophy size. We would also like to congratulate and welcome to our Trophy Club, Franz Wengenmayer who on that same trip caught a massive Trophy Pike that measured 116cm!

Earlier in the week Igor Step also went on this overnight trip and was able to land a huge Trophy Pike that was an impressive 117cm.

At one of our other destinations where clients fish for Grayling, Rainbow Trout and Lake Trout they have had fantastic days with exceptionally good Rainbow Trout fishing. These fish were also very large in size for the river system that they are in. All of these species were attracted to both lures and flies.

On one of the very calm days many of our guest fly fished, a few even learned how to do so for the first time. A lake that we often try out at this time of the year has proven to be full of huge Northern Pike. We have now situated a boat there so that we can access it faster for longer days of fishing.

We have had quite a few adventure trips on ATV’s this week. We have a mountain nearby that we ride up and from the top there is an amazing view of Dezadeash below.

Due to the cooler temperatures the leaves have begun to change color, all of the hillsides and trails are now full of an amazing array of green, yellow, orange and red. All is good here at the lodge and we are looking forward to the weeks to come.
