2016— Week 34

We had a beautiful week here at the lodge. The fishing and the weather were both world class. Although we had a few windy days many of them were calm.

We had quite a few clients in this week that were fly fisherman. They had amazing action on the fly in many different locations. We were still able to run the jet boat down the river this week but because of the low water levels we will not be able to do so much longer.

We caught many large Pike close to the trophy mark. These fish are very aggressive and the action has been great.

Our quests caught a lot of beautiful Grayling, many of them close to the Trophy mark. Grayling were active on both flies and spinning lures this week.

We did one of only a few trips so far this year into Frederik Lake where we have a cabin. Our guests spent most of their time fly fishing for Grayling in the Kluhini River that connects Frederik Lake with our home lake Dezadeash Lake. They caught many big fish, one even measured 47.5cm.

In the evening they enjoyed fish and steaks all prepared by their guide on an open fire.

Fishing for Rainbow Trout was excellent as well and our guests enjoyed catching these hard fighting fish.

We did not send any guests out Salmon fishing this week but the amount of fish that have entered the system has went up quite a bit and we are planning on doing a trip next week.
