The end of June came fast and it was absolutely amazing!
Temperatures warmed right up, not too hot but beautiful. It was a bit windy but that didn’t stop our guests from going out and enjoying the Yukon! Along with amazing fishing we had awesome hiking conditions and all sorts of adventures took place.
The Pike fishing continues to be exceptionally active. All of our Pike destinations produced nonstop action. The Vacha Group landed an amazing 111cm Trophy Pike! A beautiful fish caught in a beautiful location.
The Lake Trout were also very active. They are still in the shallows for now but we expect them to start going deeper as the weather gets warmer. The end of June brought three Trophy Lakers, Alain got a 100cm Lake Trout Trophy. Mike got a 106cm and Ken got a 101cm Lake Trout Trophy.
Down our beautiful river systems, we caught many nice sized Grayling and Rainbow Trout. Some close to the Trophy mark. To get to these destinations we use flat bottom boats that are able to go into much more shallow waters then our regular boats.
All is good up in the north and we are very much looking forward to a busy, beautiful and fun summer!
