2016— Week 27

What a week at Dalton Trail Lodge. We had great weather, good fishing and happy customers. The action from large fish has been unreal this week.

Robert Keller lost and almost trophy Grayling because his line broke. Almost 15 minutes later he caught the same fish again and got his fly back! This beautiful fish measured 47.5cm. Earlier in the week Robert also landed a Lake Trout of 106cm.

Vince Parrott also fished with ultra-light tackle and caught a 114 cm Pike with a 10lbs line! His fishing partner Wiho Papenbrock caught a trophy Lake Trout that was 101 cm. Michael Roth also adds to the trophy count with a Pike of 105 cm and a huge Lake Trout that was 106 cm. All in all fishing for Grayling, Lake Trout, Pike, Rainbow and Kokanee has all been fantastic.

Many of our clients enjoyed going out on their own again. It is amazing how big the Lake Trout are coming out of some of the easier accessible lakes this year. The Grayling have been huge here as well.

Lots of people enjoyed having a fish fry while out for the day others brought fish home to have for an appetizer at the lodge.

All is good here at Dalton Trail Lodge and the weather forecast for next week is awesome! We are expecting more great fishing to go along with all this great sunshine.
