Our 2017 season is underway and our first clients arrived yesterday. They are out on the water today. We have been busy at the lodge getting thing prepared for the season.

The weather has been nice all week with many warm days. At night the temperature has been dropping below freezing but it warmed up very fast in the morning.

We changed all the carpets in the main lodge as well as two of the cabins.

This year we extended the Frederik lake bridge by 25 meters! This will allow our clients to get past the swamp much easier. By next spring we plan on having the entire area covered with a bridge wide enough for our ATV's.

Next year we are planning to build two new cabins at Frederik Lake. They will be around the same place as the old trapper's cabin, on the edge of a hill that is overlooking the beautiful Kluhini River that runs out of Frederik. The old cabin was built in the 60's.

We added two brand new ATV's to our fleet this year as well as a new Diesel Titan. We now have 8 ATV's and three side-by-sides that people can use to go out on fishing adventures with a guide.

We are going to be using the cabin at Moraine Lake more this year, it is an absolutely stunning cabin situated right on the lake.

We also brought a boat to a new Pike Lake and did a little fishing ourselves. We caught 14 big Pike in 30 minutes just from shore! They were very healthy fish with broad shoulders.

All in all things are great and everything is ready for another season. We are looking forward to welcoming our return clients and new faces as well. If you have not booked a holiday with us yet do so soon the fish are waiting for you!
