2019 - Week 35

All week long we had perfect weather conditions with lots of sunshine and no wind to speak off.

Temperatures during the day reached 20 C, with frost overnight. Fly fishing was awesome again this week, lots of lake trout, grayling, whitefish and rainbows are in the river now. Lake trout and whitefish to spawn – grayling and rainbows to feast on their eggs. Lake trout fishing in the big lakes turned on too, we had trips with more than 40 fish per boat/day!!

Pike fishing stayed hot; we have the pleasure of welcoming the following new members into our pike trophy club:

Lucas Prüger                      105 cm

Robert Hamor                    106 cm

Isabella Zeeman               105 cm

We did the first fly out for silver salmon. The clients saw a lot of salmon in the river but they were not very cooperative, they only landed two and lost quite a few. Maybe still a bit early and the weather too nice?

Not too many mushrooms again this week, we hope that we’ll get a last push this coming week. Lots of smiles here at the lodge, clients are enjoying the beautiful weather and the awesome fishing.
