2019 - Week 24

Things are busy and fishing is awesome here at the lodge!

This week we welcomed back many long-term clients and friends as well as some awesome new people. Fishing was outstanding as it always is in the Spring. Lake Trout are still in the shallows, although they are starting to move towards the deeper water and to the creeks.

We did many trips to our four outpost camps this week. Fishing is unbeatable in these places.  The cabins at Frederik are coming along nicely and we are looking forward to welcoming our first guests into them.

We have been catching a lot of nice sized Lake Trout in the shallows including a beautiful trophy of 102 cm, congratulations to John Jennings! Pike fishing was just as good and we have the pleasure of welcoming Paolo Toppan (106 cm), Ondrej Skorpil (106 cm) and Chris Ruland (105 cm) into our pike trophy club!

Rainbow and Grayling fishing have been getting better and better. One of our clients missed the Trophy mark by a centimetre. The weather was nice most of the week but we did get some much-needed rain towards the end. The weather and fishing forecast say more good times are just around the corner!
