2015— Week 25

This week at the lodge, we had awesome weather and even better fishing. The wind died right down and the fish started biting like crazy! At our outposts we have had very successful fishing for Pike but also for large trout as well. Ted Rodehorst caught two trophies; an amazing Lake Trout of 112cm and a huge Pike that was 117cm. Dave Cryer caught a 113cm trophy Pike. Kevin Coyne caught two trophy fish, a 101cm Lake Trout and a 107cm Pike. Jim Bell got a beautiful 105cm trophy Lake Trout and Eric Bell caught an amazing 49cm trophy Grayling.

This week we were able to catch the first Kokanee Salmon of the year.

The river fishing has been amazing as usual. Trolling and spin casting were both very successful in fishing for Trout.

Fly fishing has been awesome; the Grayling and Rainbow trout fishing has been exceptionally great.

The water levels are still a bit low and there is not much snow in the mountains left. The forecast is looking like more great weather. Our guests had many opportunityies to see wild life while out fishing as well, resulting in lots of great Yukon photos. Things are going great and the season is well underway.
