2017— Week 24

It was an excellent week at the lodge, we had some amazing weather with temperatures as high as 30 degrees. Along with the sunny days we also had many calm days.

Pike fishing was awesome with many people catching fish non-stop all day. We landed our first Trophy Pike for 2017. We would like to welcome Gody Lanz to the Pike Trophy Hall of fame, he landed a 112cm fish. Robi Holliger caught a huge Pike that measured 120cm. Ted Rodhoust landed a Trophy Pike that was 108cm. Our long-time friend, Thomas Staub, landed himself a 110cm Trophy Pike, welcome to the Trophy Club!

Lake Trout fishing was good; our guests caught many of them that were close to the Trophy mark.

Due to the warm weather our water levels have come up quite quickly. During one of our trips to a lake in Kluane Nations Park the water rose so much that they had to close the road down for a few days! The water levels changing did nothing to the fishing, if anything we are able to get to more places now and have access to more fish.

Grayling fishing has been outstanding, there seems to be a lot of good sized ones being caught this year.

Fishing for Rainbow Trout was awesome on all the river systems that we fish. They are not huge fish but on light tackle a lot of fun to catch. We had a lot of long time clients and friends here this week and time seemed to fly by.

Next week is looking like it will be more days filled with lots of fun and fish.
