2019 - Week 29

Beautiful weather, no wind, not too hot – another perfect week in the Yukon.

Our guests caught a lot of nice sized lake trout and pike in our home lake. They also landed a couple of trophy lake trout on one of our overnight trips.

We like to welcome Bob Shimokochi (103 cm) and Benjamin Brings (106 cm) into our trophy club – congratulations boys – well done!

The newly revisited pike lake continues to surprise us with great fishing success. The average weight of the pike is amazing, most fish are close or just above the 1-meter mark. We lost a few very big pike that certainly looked like trophies.

Grayling and Rainbow Trout fishing is still awesome too, lots of very big Grayling have been caught this week again.

Dolly Varden fishing slowed down a bit, the shallow lake is a little bit too warm now and the fish not very active. But everywhere else absolutely perfect conditions.

Conditions have also been awesome got hiking and sight-seeing. All in all, everything is going great!
