2016— Week 31

This week we had a week of Monster Lake Trout! We had 6 trophy Lake Trout, congratulation to Alex Christnach for catching a 102cm Lake Trout and to Jacques for also landing a 102cm Trophy. Carina Jager caught a beautiful Trophy Lake trout that measured 104cm. Last year she caught the lodge record! Although she caught an amazing fish this year her brother got an even bigger one. Congratulation to Lars Jager for catching a 105cm Trophy! Michael Pardo was also able to land a monster Lake Trout this week. He landed a 105cm Trophy. Arnaud Berruex caught the biggest Trophy this week, an amazing 109cm Lake Trout.

We had a bit of wind this week with a couple days with rain as well, toward the end of the week things calmed down and we had a few calm and warm days. This was the first rain after two weeks of warm calm weather so it was actually good for the environment.

The Salmon fishing was successful but not as good as we would have liked. On two of the trips the clients each landed 4 King Salmon.

The Pike are as aggressive as always, they have been very attracted to top water action.

Grayling and Rainbow trout fishing have been good as well. We had quite a few Grayling that were close to the trophy mark.

On one of our trips our guests were able to safely view a beautiful Grizzly bear while it roamed for roots. We had a few clients go out mushroom picking this week and they were reward with an abundance of Red Cap as well a Boletus. They brought some back to the lodge to be prepared for them as an appetizer as well as dried some for the journey home.

It has been an excellent fishing week with many happy faces around the lodge!
