2010— Week 34

Our guests experienced an exceptional fishing week with nice weather. Pike fishing was again excellent with a total of 5 Trophies being caught. We would like to welcome the following anglers to our Pike Trophy Club: Roderick O’Sullivan (105 cm), Julius Prueger (110 cm, 111 cm), Julius Prueger jun. (111 cm) and Larissa Prueger (105 cm). Fishing for Grayling was world class with many fish in the range of 45 cm to 47 cm as well as 3 beautiful Trophy fish. Markus Glauser landed two Trophies of 48 cm and 49 cm and Giuseppe Bonetti caught one Trophy Grayling of 49 cm. Congratulations to all of you, great job! The Lake Trout fishing was great with many nice fish up to 82 cm. Quite a few were caught on flies and these strong fish will challenge your skills as well as your tackle. The Rainbow Trout were still very active and responded really well to dry flies. We did one fly out trip to a very remote River at the coast of Alaska. When we flew over the river we couldn’t believe our eyes, we could see thousands of Silver Salmon in this very clear River from the air. Of course everybody was excited to get out of the plane and to tackle up. It didn’t take long to catch the first bars of silver! Fishing with flies was the most successful method and some of our guests had at least 50 hook ups. Truly world class salmon fishing! For most of the week we had very nice weather, there was just one day with rain showers and colder temperatures. With only one windy day it was a very calm week. We had the first frosts in the nights and the colours on the trees are starting to change – autumn is just around the corner!
