2016— Week 26

Fishing this week has been awesome for all the species we target. We have been having some amazing weather as well. Lots of nice sunny days; many of them with calm winds.

We were able to land a lot of nice sized Lake Trout. Including trophy sized ones as well, congratulations to Thaddaeus Pyka for catching a Lake Trout that measured 103cm. Paul Sarlo caught a 101 Trophy Trout and Kelly Smith got a Trophy Lake Trout that was 103cm.

We also pulled in lots of huge Pike, congrats to Paul Sarlo for landing a massive 113 Trophy Pike.

Fishing for Grayling was top notch this week. These beautiful fish love the cold Yukon waters. We had lots of luck with dry flies and small lures.

Rainbow Trout fishing in the river was great, the water is high right now so getting up and down the river is easy in our Jet Boat. These trout like to jump and give quiet a fight. We have been catching these fish while fly fishing and with light spinning gear.

The hot days are melting the ice pack. With the calm days many of our clients have been going out, on their own, on the Home Lake, it has been very productive. They were able to catch many Grayling, Pike and nice sized Lake Trout. We met lots of great new people already this year and are looking forward to meeting more as the season moves on.
