2016— Week 24

We had beautiful weather at the beginning of the week followed by some much needed rain. Butch and Leon caught the first trophy Lake Trout of the year; they not only caught one each but managed to land 6 of them! Leon caught two, 101 and 107cm. Butch got four of them, 101, 101, 103 and 105.

The river fishing was awesome this week as well, both fishing with flies and lures.

Pike fishing has been very productive; our clients caught a lot of fish 100 cm and over.

The first clients went to fish for Dolly Varden and had an amazing day with unbelievable numbers of fish.

Rainbow fishing has been great as well.

Our new ATV, the Tyrex, made its first trips into the mountain where we fish a remote lake and it worked perfectly, it is a very comfortable and safe way to get into places like this if you do not want to drive your own. Mike and Hardy went to look at a beautiful cabin located on this remote mountain lake. We are planning on renting it for an overnight guided trip with ATVs or with one of our four seat Quads. The cabin was built for Northern lights viewing. The lake that this cabin is situated on has a high population of fish and having the opportunity to stay overnight would allow our clients to have more time for fishing.

Everything is going great here at the lodge. Things are getting busy and the fish are active as ever!
